One Direction at Madame Tussand

Recently, One Direction were transformed into wax figures at the famous London museum, Madame Tussauds. It was a big honour for the group!

1D wax figures:
In 2013, the five members of One Direction had two sittings with the sculptors who were to create their wax figures for Madame Tussauds. The sculptors' biggest challenge was to capture the boys' playful, cheeky smiles and show their true personalities.

What 1D think:
How does it feel to have your own statue?
Naill: Super excited!
Zayn: This is insane!
Louis: It's an amazing honour!
Harry: It's crazy !
Liam: Hmm....

Who was Madame Tussaud?
London's famous wax museum in named after a Frenchwoman, Marie Tussaud. Marie had special talent for making wax models.
In the early 1800s, she came to Great Britain with her wax models. In 1835, she opened a permanent exhibition. Today, Madame Tussauds is one of London's most popular attractions!

What 1D think:
Your wax figure is going to be kissed by a lot of people. How does that make you feel?
Harry: They might get a bit waxy!
Louis: I think it's cool... but I hope it's hygienic!
Liam: That's quite mad and on day I might trade places with them!
Niall: They're quite fun to look at, but I don't know about kissing them!
Zayn: Pretty cool!

11. My trip to Madrid

On the first day we went to Girona. There we went to the station AVE. There we travelled to Madrid and we got on a bus to our hotel, the Motion Hostel. Then we went to Congreso de los Diputados and we visited it. After that we had lunch and we went to  Museo del Prado. Then we went walking to Parque del Retiro to relax and we went to the metro station of the Opera to have a dinner at Fresc Co restaurant.

On the second day in the morning we went to Puerta del Sol and Plaza Mayor. After that we visited Catedral Almudena, Palacio Real and los Jardines de Sabatini. Later we had lunch in Fres Co. After that we visited the Xi'an Warriors, la fuente de Cibeles and la Plaza Neptuno. 

On the third day we walked from Gran Via to Plaza España, after that we saw  Templo de Debod and Senado but we didn't visit. Then we had free time in Opera and we had lunch. After that we went to the Atocha station and we returned to Banyoles.

10. An internet forum

Hi,
My name's Núria Fusellas and I live in the south of London. I like were I live but I want to improve it.

There isn't anywhere for young people to go. There aren't any facilities for them. Young people spend all their time hanging around on the street. There are sometimes problems with vandalism and graffiti.

I think it's a good solution to do something like a youth club.

Goodbye Hermione
After the Harry Potter films made her the world's most famous witch, Emma Watson wanted to show she had other talents.
Her next big role, as a cool kid in The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), was very different from the studious Hermione. The seven weeks Emma spent filming were the opportunity for her to be a normal teenager for the first time. "We'd just stay up all night playing guitar and running around the hotel", she says.

Fashion is also a big part of Emma's life. Fans love her individual, elegant style and so do designers.She has been a model for brands like Burberry and Lancome, and helped design her own range of clothes. But it is not easy to know what to wear when you're famous. "It's stressful knowing that every time you walk out the door, someone is going to be judging everything you wear", says Emma.

Emma is not just beautiful...she has brains too! She has studied at Brown University, USA, and Oxford University, England, and loves to read and write poetry. She took a break from her studies to concentrate on her films, which is good news for her fans...

A private person
Emma loves making films but she does not like celebrity life. She is attached to her privacy, which is ironic because in the film The Bling Ring (2013), she plays a teenager who is obsessed with celebrities and breaks into their houses. It was a challenge for Emma to play a materialistic, narcissistic character so different to her!

Diverse new roles to play
Thes month Emma Watson is back in the biblical film Noah, where she plays Ila, Noah's adoptive daughter. It's a fantasy film with super CGI, but there's none of the innocence of Harry Potter or the glamour of  The Bling Ring. It's another opportunity for Emma to show that she's one for Hollywood's most talented young actresses!

Hi, I'm Núria Fusellas and now I'm going to talk about Emma Watson. Emma Watson complete's name is Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson. She was born in Paris, France, but her nationality is British.
When she was 6 years old in Dragon School started her interest for acting, dancing and singing. There she participated in 2 representations of theatre.
Emma Watson is famous because she played for the character Hermione in Harry Potter film series. She has done other films: My week with Marlin (Lucy), The Beauty and the Beast (Beauty),...She did a TV series called Ballet shoes in 2007, she played for the character Pauline. She started through the world of fashion in 2010 collaborating in an organization for clothes to teenagers.
During all the movies of Harry Potter she was nominated for the Best Young Actor, Best Perfomance,...She won 15 awards.
